Playing with Fire
I was madly in love at the time, and then madly heart broken. I obsessed with capturing these moments that were seared into my memory, moments that seemed to have transformed my every molecule- but then ended, swiftly and suddenly, as if it were never there.
These are drawings were made with fire during this period. Instead of just graphite or charcoal sitting on top of paper, the marks made in these drawings are the transformation of the paper itself. Despite its deep transformation, the marks cling far lighter than graphite, even breathing could disturb the marks away.
